The device works out of the box without the app. All basic functions can be controlled directly from the built-in control panel.
That said, the app unlocks a significantly better experience:
- Turn the device on or off from anywhere, no need to go outside
- Get notified when the CO2 tank or attractant needs attention
- Set operating schedules based on sunrise and sunset
- Monitor device status in real time
- Receive firmware update notifications
- Manage multiple devices from one place
For a device running in a garden or a remote area, the app saves unnecessary trips.
